If you’ve even wanted to visit a foreign planet, the thermal baths of San Filippo are a good place to start. This unique thermal area produces water that is so rich in calcium, that a massive white mountain of mineral continues to build from the source of the spring.

You can find small bathing pools all along the river, but be prepared for the smell! This is certainly one of the more pungent sulfuric springs. Don’t worry, after a few minutes you’ll get used to it! You will need to shampoo your hair a few times after visiting these baths, but the experience is definitely worth it.
